9 04 2011

JSA’s 5th Annual Matsuri is coming its way!

This year, it will be bigger, better, and FANTABULOUS! Another way to spread Japanese culture and to learn from it!

Matsuri is a traditional Japanese festival where everyone can join together and experience authentic Japanese culture. Come and join us in a night filled with Japanese food, games, and live performances all night at Red Square!

As many of you may know, there are countless numbers of us affected by the earthquake and tsunami disaster in Japan. Many of us officers and members all have strong ties to Japan, whether we have family, friends, or we ourselves are of/from that country.

So please show your support and attend this event! And invite your friends and family! (Of course, this event isn’t just for Japanese people! Everyone is welcome~!) It’s for a great cause, and you can enjoy great music and stage performances, games, raffles, get a photo taken in a kimono or happi coat, and of course eat Japanese food too!

This will be one of the many events that we will be hosting for the benefit of Japan’s relief effort, so please stay updated on JSA’s activities to support Japan, and to support JSA so that we can hold more fun, beneficial and fantastic events for you guys.

Also, we will be tabling for the next 2 weeks – April 6-15 if you want more information.

Time: April 16th, 3pm-7pm

Location: Red Square (University of Washington – Seattle Campus)

Always in our thoughts and prayers

7 04 2011

As you may have already heard, Japan was devastated again by another severe Earthquake. Earlier today they endured a 7.4 earthquake.

We are still helping them.
We are still fighting with them.
We are still praying for them.

Words cannot begin to explain the pain and grief that we all hold inside ourselves. But we can still contribute our help to them and alleviate some of Japan’s pain and grief.

Please remember that you can still donate and help out.

In our thoughts and prayers.
